O dezbatere politica privind agenda Uniunii Europene pe urmatorii 5 ani, drepturile omului si egalitatea pentru persoanele LGBTI

The European Region of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association va invita in Bruxelles la lansarea Campaniei sale pentru alegerile europene 2014 intitulata “Come Out”.

Dezbaterea va aduce laolata candidati la Presedintia Comisiei Europene si alti reprezentanti la nivel inalt al celor cinci principale Partide Europene pentru a discuta agenda urmatorului Parlament European si a urmatoarei Comisii Europene in ceea ce priveste drepturile omului si egalitatea pentru persoanele LGBTI.

Participantii vor discuta despre tipurile de actiuni necesare pentru a garanta protectia persoanelor LGBTI ca drepturi ale omului, precum si despre dificultatile cu care s-au confruntat in promovarea recunoasterii acestor drepturi in Uniunea Europeana.

In contextul alegerilor iminente care vor avea loc in UE, politicienii vor fi intrebati ce intentioneaza sa faca si care va fi pozitia adoptata de partidul pe care il reprezinta pentru a asigura vizibilitatea drepturilor omului si a problemelor legate de egalitatea persoanelor LGBTI pe agenda noului Parlament si a noii Comisii Europene.

Dezbaterea politica va fi precedata de o discutie intre candidatii la Parlamentul European si activistii LGBTI, discutie ce va avea loc intre ora 16:00 si ora 17:15.

The European Region of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association invites to the Brussels launch of its European elections campaign 2014 “Come Out”.

The debate will bring together candidates to the European Commission’ Presidency and other high-level representatives from the five main European political parties to discuss the human rights and LGBTI equality agenda of the next European Parliament and Commission. Panellists will discuss action needed to guarantee protection of the human rights of LGBTI people, and will also talk about ongoing challenges to advancing recognition of these rights in the EU. In the lead-up to the EU elections, they will also be asked what they and their parties intend to do to ensure that human rights and LGBTI equality issues remain strong on the agenda of the next Commission and Parliament.

The political debate will be preceded by an exchange between MEP candidates and LGBTI activists from 16.00 to 17.15.
